SMHNews: 14-Month-Old Baby Thrown From Get-A-Way Car… June 13, 2011

smh

by: PatriceJohnson, Your Black World

Some people just DO NOT need to have kids… Smh

This is absolutely pitiful… Parents, if you are going to commit a crime PLEASE do not bring your baby to the crime scene…

Late Thursday night, 21-year-old Courtney Palmer and another woman went to K-Mart so that they could shop lift. The women left a one-year-old girl in the get-a-way car with 22-year-old Kimberly Moody…

When police were called and arrived to the scene, Palmer and the other woman were approached by officers.  The women got into a little scuffle with the police. When Moody saw what was going on, police said that she tried to leave the scene as quickly as she could. When she accelerated on the gas, police say that the doors were not secure and because of this, a 1-year-old baby girl fell out of the car… She was not killed but suffered serious injuries.

Palmer ran out of the store and picked the baby up, put her in the car and she was taken to the hospital.

While in K-Mart, Palmer tried to steal two bottles of body spray, a bottle of body wash, a pair of earrings, and tissue toiletry… This all came up to $29.61.  Moody and Palmer were granted bail and have since posted their bail.  On Friday night, a third arrest was made. Another woman, 20-year-old Courtney Mace, was arrested on charges of assault.

I have never heard such a ridiculous, pathetic story in my entire life. All because these b*tches wanted some body spray and toilet paper, an innocent child was seriously hurt… SMH

OK, why are these women being called dumb b*tches. We need to educate the public of the importance of education of our young people as well as this reporter of this article.

    • debbie Says:

I agree Lynn. We need to talk about turning around this bad behavior through education and mentoring. To refer to these young women as b*tch*s is irresponsible.

    • Vernice Says:

Lynn I so agree, come on people they are young and yes made a mistake. But let’s not forget it takes a village to raise a child sometimes the villages we come from just don’t care enough. Compassion for others doesn’t cost you nor I a dime. God takes care of fools and babies all we can do is pray and hope that this will be a lesson well learned.

It is easier to Build a Child
then it is to Repair and Adult
and that’s one to grow on

      • patricia Says:

I agree you are so right with that one, we have lost our villages so long ago we need prayer alone with those young ladies not bitches.

    • Desiree Says:

I agree with you as well Lynn and Debbie. If we all know so much better than these women, why not attempt to spread the education. Some people do not do better because they do not know better.

  2. angel319 Says:

I like the way you stated it because they were behaving like b_____s I think the word stupid should be in front of it.

  3. Renee Says:

this takes the cake, talk about some sick individuals,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Ya’ll know for real I gotta some other words to describe these ghettofied , simple small minded dumb
chicks,,,,,,,,, They need to not see the light of day for being DUMB, they need to be on their knees asking for forgivness, OMG poor little baby, all up in where did they say
    K MART ?
girls girls its not worth it , you have almost killed a prescious baby girl, but you have
destroyed your lives ,,, very sad , every day there is some craziness happeneing in
    this doggy dog world.

    • Charles Says:

I probably missed it, but who is the mother of this small child? If it is one of the three them you know what the problem is and that it started a long time ago. Where is the factory that makes people like this, in China?

  4. Marie B. Says:

It seems that monthly there is a horrific death or severe injury involving a parent or care giver and a young child. What is going on, with the value of a life. This mother was willing to risk going to jail, being separated from her child for foolishness. She didn’t steal items that were needed but what she wanted. I pray that the baby recovers and isn’t returned to the mother until she clearly demonstartes the ability to love and be a parent. As a community, we seem to be too passive with teenage and simple parent pregnancy. Many times, both are having a negative impact.

    • Yes… I agree. I feel that she should have thought this situation through… And the reason why I called her and the other two women b*tches is because they were acting very “b*tch-like” in that moment… Stealing things that they did not need knowing they could possibly get caught and putting the child in that situation… They are just ignorant women and they deserve what ever they get…

      • Helen Says:

        Patrice,
Instead of calling them the B!! word I hope you would have said a prayer for them. We all stand in the need of prayer. The Bible says do not judge or you will be judged. How do you think the Lord feel about you calling them B’s. You are no better than them, potty mouth!!

        • I am my brothers and sisters keeper. Says:

Did you just contradic yourself by calling Patrice a potty mouth? “The Bible says do not judge or you will be judged” “How do you think the Lord feel about you calling Patrice a potty mouth” NO sin is greater than the other, sin is sin! Be careful next time you try to use the bible to get a point across. Because “you” used the bible for a reference does not exclude you from being just as judgemental as you claim Patrice to be…….I agree with Patrice they were called B***H beacuse of the unlawful act they found themselves committing.
I also agree they are young and irresponsible and need to be taught how to live in society without taking things that do not belong to them, become responsible adults, hopefully this coverage will embarrass them enough where they will not try such a crazy stunt anymore. I pray for my young sisters to get some guidance, they are our future functioning members of society!

          • Helen Says:

Patrice didn’t I say we all stand in the need of prayer including me. I pray for you as well, I pray you don’t really like your job, you are just making a livin,.because if you love what you do then you do need prayer. Love and prayers to my sister.

  5. roderick Says:

Where did this happen? City and state?

  6. Truth Seeker Says:

That’s sad – this is Charleston, SC. Way of life for some. Learn to use coupons. I just left the store with free body wash, deoderant (sp?) and purchased Scott 12 pack on sale with coupon – 3.99.

USE COUPONS PEOPLE. You don’t have to steal. SMDH

  7. Eugene Rhodes Says:

“Messed up values” are affecting what is really important in todays society!

  8. MsNYC Says:

They are ignorant… If your going to boost leave the babies at home. I never knock anybodies hustle but if You need or want to steal be by yourself no need for a crowd.

  9. Barbara Says:

I am sure she will not get extra time for her actions, but that is the way the law works.

  10. Soul Sistah For My Folks Says:

I don’t know these young women, but they are someones daughters, sisters and maybe mothers. They are not B**ches and there actions aren’t B**ch like. There pain is my pain. Like so many of our young men and women who commit acts that mystify many of us. They have devalued their own life and the life of that child. I see so many of the villagers stand idly by and watch as our community crumbles. What are you/we doing to offset the madness? That little child that you see not being loved or cared for who lives in your neighborhood. Give them some love. Let them know they are seen. Start a reading ground, teach our young girls some other behaviors so that they won’t be referred to as B**ches and they won’t act like hoes. Check out Vernice’s reply. Change will never occur unless we change our approach to our own community. There actions are my fault and I take full responsibility as a grown woman. I do my part to try and keep children on a positive track, I guess I need to do more… will all of you help me? Lovin all my brothahs and sistahs back to sanity.
