This is not funny, but it’s funny.
A 21-year-old man is now facing felony charges of soliciting sex with a minor after sending hundreds of text messages to a 12-year-old girl. Willard Yoder was arrested last week after he’d driven a horse and buggy to an Indiana restaurant where he planned to meet with the child.
According to the Connersville Police report, one of the text messages stated that, “one of the proposed sexually acts would happen inside the buggy.”
When the parents of the young girl found out that she was texting back and forth with Yoder, they’d began to take over the phone. Texting him and asking for pictures and explicit videos, they’d received about 600 messages from Yoder. The parents then took the cell phone to Police officers and that’s when a sting operation began.
Police who were staking out in front of the restaurant said that they saw a carriage that was being pulled by one horse and had what appeared to be one occupant. Police say that Yoder was cooperative and “walked his horse and buggy around the building and tied it to a post outside.”
I know that this is no laughing matter but how did Yoder really think that he would get away with something so obvious? A horse and buggy? Really dude?
