So it seems that Justin Timberlake doesn’t just want to act in the movies as a Social Network expert, he really wants to become one. Tuesday, Timberlake became one of the co-owners of MySpace after buying the network from News Corp. Timberlake plans to focus on the creative side of the re-development to bring people back to the site.
Timberlake makes a statement on what he and his business partners plan to do:
“There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. MySpace has the potential to be that place.”
The idea sounds a little “Twitter-fied” mixed with a taste of YouTube to me. But hey, it might work. I guess we’ll never know until we see it.
